Matt has served Christian camps for over ten years, coming to the Foundation from Camp Forest Springs in Westboro, Wisconsin. Prior to this position, he helped with fundraising and facilitating annual family camp activities and special events in his role as Development Associate, also at Camp Forest Springs. Working in both the program and kitchen services side of a family camp provides Matt with a unique perspective of meeting needs for guests and program members. Prior to Camp Forest Springs, Matt was the Program and Retreats Director for South Side Mission in Peoria, Illinois, a camp for underprivileged youth.
His education experience is also strategically aligned to this role. After graduating with an Associate of Arts in Business degree, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Cairn University. He then continued his education by earning an Associate of Arts degree in Culinary Arts from Fox Valley Technical College. Matt met his wife, Julie, at a Christian camp when they were both attending college.
